SHoP was awarded first place for our master plan concept in the Dallas Connected City design challenge.
Promoting a comprehensive approach to managing economic growth with critical civic, cultural, and environmental objectives, SHoP envisioned the Trinity River as a central site to drive the future of Dallas. The plan deployed a strategy of intensifying the existing qualities of the city’s built and natural landscapes as a means to realize the region’s full development potential, while redirecting that energy into sustainable patterns of growth such as hyper-dense residential quarters and “re-wilded” urban corridors.
