SHoP Presents at NVIDIA GTC 2019

Christopher Morse and Geof Bell, both Associates at SHoP, will present at NVIDIA’s 2019 GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in Silicon Valley on Tuesday, March 19. Their presentation will focus on the digital future in architecture, and will discuss the pioneering workflows we’re using to redefine the practice.

SHoP’s design team relied on parametric design and digital workflows to develop 242 Broome’s continually changing curtain wall panels and interior layouts. Along Ludlow Street, the western elevation of the project, SHoP is also designing the International Center of Photography’s new home.

Pier 35 Wins 2019 MASterworks Award

Pier 35 has won a 2019 MASterworks Award for Best New Infrastructure. Founded in 1988, the MASterworks Awards pay tribute to some of the city’s most iconic buildings and local gems completed in the previous year. The winning teams will be honored at a celebration on Thursday, March 28 at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture during Celebrating the City: 2019 MAS Awards.
