Famed for its cameo role on the cover of the eponymous album by The Doors, this Los Angeles pop culture landmark had fallen on hard times. With our client, Relevant Group, SHoP is adaptively reusing the 1914 hotel structure and integrating it into a bold new mixed-use residential, hotel, retail and entertainment complex. Centered on a mid-block courtyard, the development will include 136 apartments, approximately 400 guest rooms and 15,000 square feet of new shops and dining.
