Footbridge

The West Thames Street Pedestrian Bridge is a permanent replacement for the temporary Rector Street Pedestrian Bridge, which was designed by SHoP immediately after the attacks of 9/11. Located at the entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the West Thames Street Bridge spans diagonally over 9A/West Street and provides a direct pedestrian connection to Battery Park City from lower Manhattan’s financial district.
