Aerial Tram and Greenway

The Corbett/Terwilliger/Lair Hill (CTLH) Neighborhood district has been separated from the rest of Portland’s urban fabric by an ever increasing number of highways, exit ramps, and byways. It was imperative that the Portland Aerial Tram not simply fly over this neighborhood, but embrace it and reconnect to Terwilliger Park to the west, the city to the north, and the Willamette River to the east. Our design intent was to create two parallel systems that offer unique experiences for those who travel through the same space.
